Current Non-Annoyance
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

I'm going to the Minnesota Orchestra tomorrow to see them perform "Pixar in Concert." The event will be hosted by Pete Docter and I will be sitting third row center.
Cannot wait!

I met Brian Cekoric today. Truly, he is one of the nicest and most genuine people I've ever met - even if he doesn't like Doctor Who.
We were talking about how long we've all known each other.... some of us have been friends for 15 years. That's longer than most offline friendship.

Good Ol' uncleagent. We chat from time to time. He made a Huffy Flounce account. I don't think he's posted anything, yet. Maybe he'll visit the boards once The Man from U.N.C.L.E. trailer hits.

I met Brian once at Toronto International Airport during a layover. Cool guy indeed.

I, like Hicks, also consider these things to be non-annoyances.

Wrestling counts as culture! Just a different kind of culture.Bananarama's Bouncy Bits wrote:You are a regular Culture Vulture ('cept that whole wrestling thing) !
That said, Pixar in Concert was, without hyperbole, one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Y'all should check and see if it's coming to a city near you and then go see it. So. Damn. Cool.
And Pete Docter was hilarious and insightful. He probably won't be coming to a city near you though, he's just a local boy done good, so we got him here.

You guys should really go! Make it a family outing.
If Goiter needs something to wear to the orchestra, I'm sure Dalty could ship him his Million Dollar Man suit well in advance of the show.

I could wear what I wore to Mal's wedding. It's an Italian suit. Some tall, fat dude paid $300 for it '96.
We found it at a Goodwill. Mal got it for me. He didn't want me dressed in my usual George Lucas getup (bluejeans, plaid button-up) at the wedding. Well, *he* probably wouldn't have minded. Everybody else might have.

Current Non-Annoyance
I just had a phone call with the nicest, most pleasant, helpful man I've ever spoken to about health insurance. What he's doing working for the evil bastards at BCBS is completely beyond me, but maaaaaaaaaaan was that a pleasant switch from their normal merry band of rude jerks.

Maybe you two can talk more in the future and get to know one another better. Did you get his extension, or was he just the guy you were transferred to?

He was just the guy I was transferred to. I actually did ask if I can call him directly in the future, but he just laughed, said he was flattered by that, but sadly it was not a possibility.
He did say he's in Omaha and his name is Michael. So at least I've got a lead on how to find him again.

A little bit! I always assumed I'd find a wife before I found a nice CSR from Blue Cross/Blue Shield.Bananarama's Bouncy Bits wrote:I think Adam's in love.

Two of the four questions I'd asked him about required further research, which he promised would be followed up on this week. With basically any insurance company....it's only followed up on weeks later when I realize I haven't heard from them and follow up on things myself.
Except when dealing with Michael from Omaha, apparently. I received phone calls for Issue A on Monday and Issue B on Tuesday.
So now it's settled. I'm moving to Nebraska and don't any of you try to stop me!
