My parking garage has decided to raise their monthly rate by 50% in one fucking month. No explanation, no apologies, nothing. Guess I am going to get a train pass and take that instead. Not only will it be significantly cheaper, I'll be saving on gas and tolls.

I honestly can't think of any other reason than base greed. It's not like they are packed and trying to clear out spaces. It's a hotel so it's not like it's even their primary source of income. 90% of the time the garage is almost empty.

Since I moved to an apartment I have had to rent a parking space away from my home. I really miss having a driveway.

They've expanded the Development group I'm part of at work from 2 people to 8. The annoyance is this: the new guys are the sorts of guys who live and breathe programming. There is no separation of work and life. They tell code jokes. They discuss keyboard merits.

I just want to go back to bed.

Current Annoyance: People who write things like "Thx" and "Ppl" instead of "Thanks" and "People." It's one thing to do that in a text message (where it also annoys me, though much less so) but I'm seeing FAR too many cases lately where people have actually written the shorthand version and it makes me crazy.
