Updates to Logging in at Corona
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

We didn't forget him. We mentioned him in the early days. We just didn't have any way to contact him.

Omi just posted in the Gas Price Roundup thread again. Apparently gas has fallen to less than $3 in Texas.
Also, can we call it? Has Omi won CA Survivor?

It was $2.95 here today. I think it dipped down because so many people are still stuck in their driveways - large decrease in demand.

I admire him, trying so hard every so often to keep the place alive. He's like the guy on Lost who had to push a button from time to time.

You mean Locke? No, wait. He was the guy who was pushing everybody's buttons all the time.
I only saw two or three episodes.

I think his name was Desmond? He was a British fella who was the centerpiece of what was easily Lost's best episode. He lived in a bunker under the island and had to push a button on a computer every 147 minutes or something like that to keep the whole place from going kerblooey.

Hey, at least I didn't tell you whether or not the whole island went kerblooey or not.
SPOILER ALERT:
It does. Sort of.

Well, at least the ending isn't some sort of hokey philosophical rumination on the nature of consciousness and acceptance, where it turns out they've been dead all along and were trapped in purgatory.

I was just joking, but I wouldn't put it past them. I know at least four of the knuckleheads involved with that show's writing.

Wait. In all sincerity, you haven't actually seen the ending? Because you pretty much described it shot for shot in that paragraph.

Goits will never watch Lost. He will also never watch Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones teabags Lost whilst Lost is sleeping, and takes pics on its camera phone and e-mails them to Lost's mom.

I haven't, but I have heard it compared to the ending of St. Elsewhere, and I knew Jakester hated it. It also just seems like the dumbshit kind of ending one would expect from that gang of dumbshits.Adam54 wrote:Wait. In all sincerity, you haven't actually seen the ending? Re: Updates to Logging in at Corona
So I wasn't involved with the Lost discussions at the time because I was behind, but I've heard the "they were dead the whole time" thing many times, and I'm not sure I get it. From what I understand, they were never dead while they were on the island (except for the ones who actually did die while they were on the island). The "flash sideways" deal from the final season was where they were hanging out living other lives in some kind of purgatory-like place, but there they were dead and just hanging out until everybody eventually showed up. So is that last season flashes "the whole time" everyone keeps referring to? Though I don't really understand why it was referred to as a "flash sideways", because it happened in the future after they'd all died. (Though Desmond did manage to flip over to the purgatory-type world in one episode.)

I flashed sideways and answered you already. You won't get to the answer for another five years or so.
