Current Non-Annoyance

Why bother with any other forum?
Forum rules
We once roamed the vast forums of Corona Coming Attractions. Some of us had been around from The Before Times, in the Days of Excelsior, while others of us had only recently begun our trek. When our home became filled with much evil, including the villainous Cannot-Post-in-This-Browser and the dreaded Cannot-Log-In, we flounced away most huffily to this new home away from home. We follow the flag of Jubboiter and talk about movies, life, the universe, and everything, often in a most vulgar fashion. All are welcome here, so long as they do not take offense to our particular idiom.

I like a lot of it. There's some pretty cringeworthy shit in it, but I like it on the whole. Well, I used to. Haven't seen it in a couple decades.

Her name is Ashley. She sounded Minnesotan. And the best part is that I'm pretty sure I've spoken to her before, which means I probably will again!

This is the closest thing I've had to a girlfriend in months!

Fuck, that's sad.

How far away is she from you? Back in my youth I ended up in bed with a girl at a brokers that I used to deal with who lived hundreds of miles away from me after outrageous flirting on the phone over a few months.

Well, up until Michael in Omaha, I thought they were all in St. Paul, which is probably half an hour from where I sit right now. So she's either there or in Omaha, but she had a slight Minnesota accent, so I'm inclined to think either St. Paul or my actual hometown of Eagan.

Also? You sir, are a golden god.

To narrow that down even further, IF she's in Eagan, she's approximately one mile from my apartment. Giggidy.

Seriously, next time you talk to her just make polite, friendly enquiries "accent sounds familiar" kind of thing and go from there.

This wasn't the South African woman, was it? Does this one know you're still alive?

If it turns out she moved to Minnesota to work for a health insurance company, my pursuit of this young lady is over.

Adam54! He was a fool unto himself, and he would not swallow his foolish pride. Mind you, coming from a little town in Minnesota, it was not the kind of thing that a young guy did when a fellow went and stole his chick away from him.

I unofficially have a job! Starts first Monday of August!!! Details (and officialness) will come on Monday, and Monday we should find out where the company needs us to move to (either St. Louis or Urbana-Champaign).

In short, goodbye teaching, hello computer programming.

Congratulations, I guess. The whole "unofficial" part confuses and worries me. It reminds me of the time Kramer went to work in an office, but wasn't on the payroll.

Current Non-Annoyance:

Apparently, Adobe is offering a number of their full products as free downloads. These are older versions of their popular software that no longer get updated. Photoshop CS2 and Acrobat Pro 7 are among them. All you need to do is sign up for a free account with them. Don't mind if I do!

Weird Al's new songs are good. I prefer them over the originals he is spoofing.

Well, yeah, this usually happens to me with Weird Al's songs. I prefer "Amish Paradise" and "White and Nerdy" to "Gangsta's Paradise" and "Ridin'." I know more of the lyrics to "Theme from Rocky XIII" than to Survivor's original.
