I called Blue Cross/Blue Shield this afternoon with a semi-complicated question. The woman on the phone was polite, helpful, competent and answered almost immediately without any obnoxious hold music.

Just wanted to get this on the record somewhere as it almost certainly will never happen again.

Kittens! Kitten season has started and the shelter where I volunteer has started getting in the itty bitty ones. Today I had a lapful of three black pussycats, all purring and sleepy. I didn't move for 30 minutes.

Japanese tourists. They really are the gift that keeps on giving, bless their little hearts!!! Latest thing appears to be wearing T-Shirts with English words on them, but these words have clearly been picked at random and bear no resemblance to anything but comedy!! It's the reverse of when people have Japanese words as tattoos and not realise they have "Egg Fried Rice" tattooed on their arm!
